There’s a moment that happens in our salon that we never get tired of.

A woman sits in the chair. She’s been on a journey, sometimes months, sometimes over a year. And then she sees it. Her hair. Really sees it. Not covered. Not disguised. Just her glowing, silver, and completely herself.

That moment is why we started this. And it’s why, after 15 months of training, dedication, and some of the most beautiful transformations we’ve ever been part of, we’re proud to share something we’ve been working toward for a long time.

Ms Monaco Hair Society is Australia’s first Expert Grey Salon certified and trained exclusively by Jules Peacocke.

What Is an Expert Grey Salon?

Expert Grey isn’t a trend. It’s a method. A philosophy. A completely different way of approaching grey hair that most salons simply aren’t trained to offer. Developed by internationally renowned colourist Jules Peacocke, Expert Grey is a certification program that trains colourists to guide clients through their grey journey with precision, intention, and artistry at every stage.

And until now, no salon in Australia has been through this program. Ms Monaco is the very first and we’re excited to bring this exclusive service to the Sunshine Coast.

Why Grey Hair Deserves More Than Grey Blending

We need to talk about something the industry doesn’t always make clear.

Grey blending and grey transition are not the same service.

Grey blending, a halo of foils, a T-section, highlights around the face, is a beautiful service. We offer it. It softens the regrowth line and makes grey less stark as it grows in. But here’s what most clients aren’t told: bleach over natural hair always reveals underlying pigment. As the toner fades, the hair goes yellow and brassy. You’re back in the chair every six weeks. You’re managing your grey, not moving through it.

Grey blending lives in our blonde services menu. Because that’s exactly what it is, a blonde service used to disguise grey. It’s not a grey solution.

Grey transition is different entirely.

When we transition a client to their natural grey, we never touch the new grey regrowth. That growth is precious, it tells us everything. The pattern, the depth, the way the grey frames the face. We study it. Then we colour only the old tinted hair, mimicking that natural pattern so precisely that as it grows out, the line between old colour and new grey simply disappears.

No harsh regrowth line. No brassiness. No panic bookings. Just a plan and a result that gets more beautiful over time.

And Then There’s Engineered Grey

For clients who are well into their transition but want something more, dimension, depth, a little something extra.

This is one of the most exciting services we offer. We add colour back into the hair, but entirely within the grey family. The result is dimensional, stunning, and completely grow-out free.

We trained in engineered grey as part of our Stage Two Expert Grey certification earlier this year. The work we produced that day? We’re still talking about it.

15 Months In — And This Is What We’ve Seen

We began this journey 15 months ago. What started as a new service offering has become something much more than that.

It’s become a movement in our salon.

The women who have trusted us with their grey transition are glowing. They walk in differently. They sit taller. They stop spending thousands of dollars a year on colour that only ever bought them a few weeks. And that first mirror moment when they see their grey properly done for the first time, is one of the most powerful things we witness in this industry.

We don’t take that lightly.

What’s Coming

This year, we complete our full Expert Grey certification with Jules Peacocke including the advanced transformation training that takes clients from box dye and dark colour all the way through to their full grey look.

When that training is complete, Ms Monaco will be the only fully certified Expert Grey salon in Australia. The only team trained at every level, by Jules herself.

That’s not something we say lightly. It’s something we’ve worked for, appointment by appointment, transformation by transformation, for the past 15 months.
