SUNSHINE COAST’S MS MONACO TAKES HOME WIN AT AUSTRALIAN HAIR INDUSTRY AWARDS 2024

Sunday 20th October saw acclaimed Sunshine Coast salon Ms Monaco Hair Society take home the Best Customer Care Award at the Australian Hair Industry Awards 2024 for the second year running. The much-anticipated gala awards ceremony was held at The Star, Gold Coast with Australia’s leading hairdressers, salons, specialist businesses, educators and professional products also taking home awards.

Ms Monaco Hair Society is renowned nationally as truly a one of a kind salon experience. Owner Samanatha Jones was always fascinated by the marriage of Grace Kelly to Prince Rainier of Monaco and the glamour and style of the era and she is proud to now bring this to life. Everything about Monaco screams luxury from the grand Belle Epoque architecture and characteristic curved lines to the idyllic coastal lifestyle and it is all captured in this stunning space.

What truly sets the experience apart? After a personal salon tour, each guest relaxes in the exquisite members lounge featuring a fully licensed and well-stocked bar, with all staff holding RSA certification, and enjoys a welcome cocktail. It is the ultimate VIP experience with a service which is world class and the best in the country.

The gala evening featured an intricately choreographed song and dance show and ultra-modern take on the Oscars opening show. The performances blended the Beyoncé Single Ladies aesthetic, with Dua Lipa’s attitude, and the futuristic spectacle of Katy Perry’s 2024 VMA moment. Accompanying the performance was a custom club remix of some of classic tracks, complete with original AHIA lyrics. The celebration continued well into the small hours of the following morning with the After Party at Nineteen at the Star, sponsored by Be Crowned. Guests enjoyed cocktails, cool sounds and were caught on camera in the custom built 360 video and photo booth.

Created by Mocha Group, the AHIA’s were launched due to national demand for a platform to highlight business achievement and recognise excellence, providing an exciting snapshot of the impressive quality of the industry. Entries were judged by an independent panel of international and national judges consisting of industry, media and PR professionals, as well as business specialists from fields including architecture and finance.
