Salon FAQ’s

We understand that it can be daunting trying a new salon for the first time. To help you feel more at ease, we’ve put together a range of frequently asked questions to help guide you at your first visit to Ms Monaco.

Where can you find us?

We are located at 11 Courage Street, Sippy Downs on the Sunshine Coast. The salon is located across the road from The Bower Tree. It’s not far from our old location. There is parking available for you in the complex as well as on the surrounding streets.

What are the parking options?

You will find plenty of parking on the roads around the salon, but some is timed to 2 hours and some are not, so be sure to check the signage when you park. The underneath car park often has spare client or staff parking available and you are welcome to use this area.

Are there bathrooms accessible in the salon?

We have a beautiful private bathroom facilities within our gorgeous salon. They are located behind our bar area. Please ask one of our friendly team members for more information about how to access the bathroom during your visit.

Do I need to do anything with my hair prior to my appointment? Is there anything else I need to consider before arriving?

We’d love for you to arrive with your hair brushed and ready to go. That’s it!

We also recommend not to wear expensive outfits or clothing to the salon as we are working with colour, we do our absolute best to protect your clothing, however we can’t guarantee anything won’t happen – due to the nature of the environment. In the unlikely event of colour being spilt onto your clothing, we will only reimburse up to value of $40 for an item that has damage.

Do you have refreshments available?

Our aim at Ms Monaco Hair Society is to provide you with everything you may need while you visit our salon.

Upon arrival all guests will receive one complimentary alcoholic beverage with either a sparking wine or french martini. We also have still or sparkling water, a selection of T2 Teas and Barista Made Coffee – all complimentary during your visit.

You can also purchase any of our refreshments including a range of specialty cocktails or further beverages from our in salon menu. We do have a liquor licence at the salon so you’re welcome to bring your friends or if you’d like to enjoy the experience – grab an Uber and enjoy a few drinks from our paid menu during your appointments.

All of our drinks and refreshments can be ordered via the QR Code on the stations for your convenience.

Do you offer Afterpay or Buy Now Pay Later?

Yes! We offer Afterpay directly instore with the Afterpay App where you can use the instore afterpay card to help spread the cost of your hair out over 4 smaller payments.

What do I need to do if I have to cancel?

We understand every now and then things don’t work out as planned. However, we are a small business that relies on having our clients turn up to their booked appointment, not only so that we can pay the stylist, but so we can also keep the doors of the business open.

When you don’t provide us with 48 hours notice or you don’t attend your appointment at all (we call it a no-show), that means we have turned away other clients because that time was allocated to you specifically for that service, which in turn is not fair on us or the other clients. Our Booking Policy

We have a booking policy for three reasons:

to protect all of our loyal clients and their appointments;
to protect our business from loss of trading; and
to ensure your appointment is relaxing and enjoyable.

We’re absolutely delighted to have you as part of the Ms Monaco Hair Society family! Your trust in us means the world, and we want to ensure your time with us is as wonderful as possible. Please take a moment to go through our Booking Policy, crafted with love and care for our amazing community. This policy is in place to ensure we can allocate appointments to everyone as best we can. Thank you for your understanding and support:

Booking Fee and Payment Options
When booking your next appointment, you will automatically be sent a 50% booking fee of the total of booked services and needs to be paid before your appointment is confirmed This is quite handy as you’ll then only need to pay the balance on the day of your appointment.
Future Bookings
For future appointments an automatic payment link will be sent through to you at the time of rebooking and can be paid any time up until 1 week prior to your appointment. This is to lock in your preferred date and time. If the booking fee has not been paid 1 week prior to the next appointment, this may be cancelled.
Respecting Your Time, Our Time, and Each Other
We know that life can be unpredictable. But as a small business, your commitment to appointments keeps our doors open and our team supported. Missed or last-minute cancellations (within 48 hours) can impact both us and fellow guests who were eager to enjoy some pampering.
Cancellation Policy
In the event of a no-show or cancellation within the 48 hour time frame, there may be a fee equivalent to the full cost of the appointment or $150, whichever is less. Future appointments may require full payment at the time of the next booking. For all salon memberships, please note: if you don’t show or attend a scheduled appointment, will forfeit two weeks payments of their memberships and their future appointments will be carried forward two weeks. The booking policy for members is the exact same as all other bookings.
Getting Ready for Your Salon Date
Please arrive on time with your hair ready for a beautiful transformation. We suggest leaving your most expensive & best outfits at home, as we work with colour and unforeseen spills can happen. In the unlikely event of a colour mishap, we’ll cover up to $40 for a damaged item.
Confirming Your Appointment
Our automated SMS system is set up to ensure your appointment is secure. Just reply with a “YES” or “NO”. A follow-up message will be sent three days before your scheduled time. If we don’t hear from you after multiple attempts within 48 hours, we’ll assume the appointment won’t work out.
COVID-19
We understand the unpredictability of the current situation. While we’ve been flexible for the past two years, we now need to uphold our cancellation policy.
Sharing Your Thoughts
If for any reason you’re not over the moon with your service, please let us know within 7 days. Your feedback helps us learn and grow. This also ensures we can get you back in ASAP to resolve any concerns.

Ms Monaco came to life as I have always been a believer in fairy tales – the marriage of Grace Kelly to Prince Rainier of Monaco, in 1956 has to be one of the greatest fairy tales of all time – add to that the sheer luxury of such a small country with 30% of its population being millionaires, it’s definitely high society! A true reflection of how I want our salon to be represented and the vision for our beautiful space was created.

When creating the unique vision for Ms Monaco, a private and fully licensed bar was a must. We know how hard it can be for our guests to take time out for themselves and the bar was created to provide a secluded space in the salon for our guests to relax and enjoy a beverage while visiting the salon. It has become one of the most memorable spaces in the salon. You can enjoy a complimentary refreshment on arrival.
